Miskolc Memories

  My name is Jim Leonard. I taught conversational English at  Zrínyi Ilona Secondary School (AKA  Zrínyi Ilona Gimnázium Miskolc). I was there from January 2024 to June 2024. W W Every year in mid-May, someone from the school will come to do an audit of the school-owned furnishings. I wasn't hive much detail but I think they are really keeping track of furniture and appliances.  W

 Four traditions: - singing back to class - inviting the teachers to graduation - practice the Tuesday before disrupted 3rd and 4th - the day before the seniors dress funny and interrupt classes singing songs - the ceremony is on the first Friday in May.  The big day is the Wednesday before Easter. There are no regular classes that day and everything is wrapped up by 12:30 PM.  The dance competition is done during the 6th period the day before.  W
