Validating Bus & Tram Tickets

 If you are using single-ride tickets, you need to validate (cancel) them immediately after you board. You should validate your ticket before you reach the next stop. There are uniformed bus/tram employees who randomly board buses and ask to see your validated ticket. If you have not properly validated your ticket, they will tell you to pay a 6,000 forint fine in cash on the spot.
